Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups sugar
5 Tablespoons Dutch process cocoa
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Cup evaporated milk
3 Eggs (room temperature)
1/3 Cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Partially baked 9 inch pie shell
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine sugar, cocoa, flour and salt in large bowl and mix will. Pressing out any lumps
Step 2
Blend in milk, beat in eggs, one at a time. Add butter, vanilla and beat until smooth.
Step 3
Bake until filling is puffed and set. (55 to 60 minutes) Let pie cool to room temperature before serving. Serves 8.
