Wash berries thoroughly and drain. Crush 1 cup of berries. Heat 1/2 cup water and sugar until dissolved. Add crushed berries and food coloring to hot mixture.
Step 2
Mix cornstarch and salt with 2 tablespoons water to make a paste. Add paste to hot mixture, stirring constantly. Cook slowly till clear and very thick
Step 3
It takes about 10 minutes. Cool and then lightly stir in berries to coat each. Pour into a baked pie shell.
