German Chocolate Pie with Coconut

Ingredients

  • 1-9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1/4 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup of butter
  • 1/2 Cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 Cup flaked coconut
  • 1 Small box instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 1/2 Cups milk
  • 1 Small tub Cool Whip

Instructions

Step 1

  • Bake pie crust at 350’ F. in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. Mix brown sugar, butter, nuts and coconut in saucepan and heat until mixture begins to bubble. 

Step 2

  • Cook 1 minute at reduced heat then remove from heat and pour into pie shell. Return pie to oven and bake an additional 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.

Step 3

  • Mix pudding and milk according to directions. Do not under mix. When crust is cool pour over sugar and nuts chill. Before serving add Cool Whip.
