Mom's Lemon Chess Pie
Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 2 Cups sugar
- 1/2 Cup lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 Cup melted butter
- 1 Teaspoon cornmeal
- 1 Teaspoon flour
- 1/8 Teaspoon salt
- 1 9 inch unbaked pie shell Tip: This is the chess pie Mom makes most often!
Instructions
Step 1
- Beat eggs thoroughly. Gradually beat in sugar. Add remaining ingredients, beat well.
Step 2
- Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until brown.
Step 3
- Do not over bake. Makes 6 servings.
