A real figure-flatterer: salmon skewers with fruity marinade made from lime juice and garlic.
Salmon skewers are very fine! The combination with lime gives them a fresh, summery note. Definitely try it out!
And this is how it is done:
- First soak the wooden skewers in water for ten minutes so that they don’t burn in the oven. Then rinse the salmon fillet and cut it into bite-size cubes. Halve the bacon slices, remove the cloves of garlic and chop finely. Cut four limes into wedges.
- Squeeze the juice from two limes into a bowl. Add the garlic and olive oil, stir everything and season with sea salt and a lot of freshly ground pepper. Add salmon to the marinade and let it soak for an hour.
- Put the salmon, bacon and lime wedges alternately on the skewers. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grill the skewers for about 12 minutes, then serve.
Tip: You can also prepare the skewers excellently on the grill, provided the weather is right and there is also a grill. However, please make sure that it is a marinade with lime – the skewers should then be grilled in a stainless steel grill bowl. Here we tell you which foods you shouldn’t grill.
