Salmon skewers are very fine! The combination with lime gives them a fresh, summery note. Definitely try it out!

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g salmon fillet
  • 200 g bacon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 limes
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • sea-salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground

Preparation time:

  • 20 minutes (plus 1 hour rest & 12 minutes grill time)

And this is how it is done:

  1. First soak the wooden skewers in water for ten minutes so that they don’t burn in the oven. Then rinse the salmon fillet and cut it into bite-size cubes. Halve the bacon slices, remove the cloves of garlic and chop finely. Cut four limes into wedges.
  2. Squeeze the juice from two limes into a bowl. Add the garlic and olive oil, stir everything and season with sea salt and a lot of freshly ground pepper. Add salmon to the marinade and let it soak for an hour.
  3. Put the salmon, bacon and lime wedges alternately on the skewers. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grill the skewers for about 12 minutes, then serve.

Tip: You can also prepare the skewers excellently on the grill, provided the weather is right and there is also a grill. However, please make sure that it is a marinade with lime – the skewers should then be grilled in a stainless steel grill bowl. Here we tell you which foods you shouldn’t grill.
